Demonstration website. Aurelis Motors is a fictional dealership created by Elite Digital Services to present the Elite Auto Dealer WordPress theme. Please do not use its forms to send real personal information or real requests: no dealership will answer them. On the online demonstration, an enquiry is only checked for completeness and then discarded: it is not sent to anyone or stored. In a WordPress installation of the theme, enquiries are stored privately as described below. This notice describes how the theme works; details in square brackets are placeholders for the dealership that uses it. Remove this paragraph once the notice describes a real business.

What we collect and why

You can browse and search our vehicles without giving us any personal data. We only receive the information you choose to send with the enquiry form, which asks for your name, your email address, a telephone number (optional), a message (optional) and your agreement to this notice. We use it for the purpose of the subject you choose:

• General enquiry: to answer your question.
• Vehicle enquiry (an enquiry sent from a vehicle page): as above, together with the vehicle you asked about. We keep the vehicle’s name and stock number with your enquiry so we still know which car you meant after it has been sold.
• Test drive: to arrange a test drive with you.
• Finance: to discuss financing options with you. Sending a finance enquiry is not a credit application. [If the dealership passes finance enquiries to a lender or credit intermediary, name them here and explain when this happens.]
• Trade-in / valuation: to assess the vehicle you would like to trade in, from the details you write in your message (for example its make, model, year and mileage). This is private enquiry information: it is never published on this website, and the website does not let visitors list or sell vehicles.

With each enquiry we also store the subject, the date and time it was received, and a copy of the statement you agreed to. We do not store your IP address or browser details with your enquiry. If you call us or message us on WhatsApp through the links on this website, that conversation takes place outside this website.

Legal basis

How your enquiry is handled

When you send the form, your enquiry is stored as a private record in the website’s administration area, which only authorised dealership staff can open; it is never shown on the public website. A copy is emailed to the dealership’s enquiry address, so that we can reply to you directly.

Who receives your data

How long we keep it

Enquiries stored on the website are deleted automatically 12 months after they were received; a daily task removes them. The emailed copy is kept in the dealership’s mailbox for [Retention period of enquiry emails]. If your enquiry leads to a purchase or another contract, the information needed for that contract is kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or, where applicable, to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what was done before. To exercise these rights, email [Email address].

We answer requests with WordPress’s own privacy tools: an export gives you every enquiry sent with your email address, and an erasure request removes your name, email address, telephone number, message and consent record from those enquiries. Only the subject, date and vehicle reference remain, as anonymous sales statistics.

Security

The enquiry form is protected against forged submissions with a security token, which your browser fetches from this website just before sending, and against automated spam with a hidden field; no external CAPTCHA service is used. Your details are never placed in a web address. [Describe the security of the hosting and email services, for example encrypted HTTPS connections and access control.]

Translation

The language selector in the footer is optional. It is provided by GTranslate, using Google’s translation service, and stays switched off until you allow translation: before that, nothing is loaded from GTranslate or Google and no page text is sent to them. Once you allow it, your browser loads GTranslate’s script from cdn.gtranslate.net, and the text of a page you have translated, into the language you choose or automatically into your browser’s language when it is one of those offered, is sent to Google (translate-pa.googleapis.com) to be translated. As with any request over the internet, GTranslate and Google receive your IP address and browser details. They may process this information outside your country, and their own privacy policies apply. You can withdraw your permission at any time with Cookie preferences; the page then returns to its original language.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set cookies for visitors and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. It may keep a few small items in your browser, none of which identify you:

• eds-consent:elite-auto-dealer (local storage, this website): remembers your privacy choice.
• __GT_TRANSLATE_LANGS and gt_autoswitch (local storage, GTranslate): created only after you allow translation. They remember the chosen language, so the next pages are translated too, and that your browser’s language has been checked.
• eds-dps:elite-auto-dealer (local storage, demonstration sites only): remembers the colour palette you previewed with the “Try Colors” tool. It contains only the palette’s name, is never sent to the website, and is removed when you choose “Reset to Default”.

Staff who log in to manage the website also receive WordPress login cookies. The Cookie Policy describes each item and how to manage it.

Links to other websites

Links to other services, such as WhatsApp, open those services directly. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow the link.
