Demonstration website. Aurelis Motors is a fictional dealership created to present the Elite Auto Dealer WordPress theme by Elite Digital Services. This policy describes what the website itself stores and loads; details in square brackets are placeholders for the dealership that uses it. Remove this paragraph once the policy describes a real business.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way but are not sent to the website with each request. This policy covers all three.
This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking. Every page, image and script is loaded from this website itself, except the optional translation service described below, which stays switched off until you allow it.
Necessary
These items keep the website working or remember a choice you made. They contain nothing that identifies you and are not used to follow you.
- eds-consent:elite-auto-dealer (local storage, this website): remembers your privacy choice. Created when you choose; you are asked again after 180 days or when this policy changes in a way that needs a new choice.
- eds-dps:elite-auto-dealer (local storage, demonstration sites only): remembers the colour palette you previewed with the “Try Colors” tool. It contains only the palette’s name, is never sent to the website, and is removed when you choose “Reset to Default”. It is a demonstration feature, not analytics or marketing.
- wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie and wp-settings-* (cookies, WordPress): set only for dealership staff who log in to manage the website. They keep staff signed in and remember their admin screen settings. Visitors who do not log in never receive them.
Sending the enquiry form does not create a cookie either. Just before sending, your browser fetches a fresh security token from this website so that the form also works on cached pages; the enquiry itself is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
Preferences: translation
This category is off until you switch it on. It covers the language selector in the footer, provided by GTranslate using Google’s translation service. Until you allow it, the footer shows a “Language” button that opens your privacy preferences, and nothing is loaded from GTranslate or Google.
Once you allow it, the selector starts. When you point at or open the selector, or when a page is translated, your browser loads GTranslate’s translation script from cdn.gtranslate.net. When a page is translated, either into the language you choose or automatically into your browser’s language when it is one of the languages offered, the text of the page is sent to Google (translate-pa.googleapis.com) to be translated. Both services receive your IP address and browser details as part of these requests and may process them outside your country; see the GTranslate privacy policy and the Google privacy policy.
- __GT_TRANSLATE_LANGS (local storage, GTranslate): stores the original and the chosen language, so that the pages you open next are translated too. Created only after you allow translation, when a page is translated.
- gt_autoswitch (local storage, GTranslate): records that your browser’s language has been checked, so the automatic switch happens only once. Created only after you allow translation.
Your choices
On your first visit you can accept or reject translation, or open the preferences. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie preferences, also in the footer of every page. When you withdraw your permission, the translation storage is deleted and the page reloads in its original language. You can also delete these items in your browser settings; the palette preview is also removed with “Reset to Default”.
Other services
